The fall quickly fell upon Seattle and the foliages in Pacific Northwest is just breathtaking!

There is no other texture fits this fall weather better than tweed in our opinion. Chloe and I want to dress her doll in tweed and that was how this tweed dress joined our doll fashion collection.

I dig though my fabric treasure and found this dusty pink tweed with silver thread. It is just gorgeous.

We then went to Pinterest for some inspirations. This classic Chanel dress with a youth twist caught our eyes.

And several hours later, here it is!

In order to make it more Chanel-esque, I added velvet pink ribbon and pearl button to mimic the two iconic pockets.

So which one do you prefer? With pockets or without pockets. We love them both.

A little learning from this project:

I followed the original structure to make this dress exactly. Then I realized since this a doll version, it would have been better if I simplified a little bit. If I would do it again, I would make the upper body one piece instead of two. I simplified the pattern so it is easier to make.
