Dress Story:

This was my daughter at age 5.

She loved unicorns then, duh.

It was the first day of summer break after she finished pre-K. We went to shop in Joanne’s fabrics store. I still remember the sparkles in her eyes as soon as she spotted this beautiful fabric. Pink, check, unicorn, check, golden glitters, check!

We bought the fabric, rushed home and made this dress for her. In a 5-year old’s eyes, mommy still got the magical power. :)

This was her favorite dress in that summer and she picked this dress for her first day of Kindergarten!

Kids grow so fast. She is 8 years old now. I gave the dress away last year to her younger cousin in Beijing (the dress travelled). My daughter still asks me where did her favorite dress go every time she thinks of it.
