Dress Story:

These are the first mommy&me dresses I made for my daughter and myself.

I made them for Christmas season back in 2016. The jacquard fabric is gorgeous. I found it in Joanne’s Fabrics Store.

I want this mother-daughter set to be similar but not identical. Identical dresses are fun while in the meantime lack of individualities. I used black ribbon to define the waistline for myself and red ribbon for my daughter.

In order to make my golden zipper more fun and easy to pull, I added a pop of hot pink velvet ribbon to the zipper pull. This little design not only make it so much easier to access when I dress myself but also make the dress looks really expensive and unique.

My daughter was 5 when I made the dress. We had been enjoying the set for the past 3 years. We wore them to Christmas parties, new year parties, nutcracker shows and some other events. Now the dress is too short for my daughter and we have to pass the love. If you are interested in buying the set, you can check my sample sale.
