Dress Story:

This is an Easter dress I made for my daughter at age 6.

I feel there is no better time to DIY a dress for your little girl than on Easter. Kids are so adorable when they dress up to go egg hunting. We live in Pacific Northwest, wearing a bright colored dress is a perfect way to welcome spring and enjoy the beautiful time outside.

This is a very easy DIY dress. I bought the fabric from Joann’s Fabrics. It is a pre-ruched Beauty And Beast Disney Princess print cotton fabric. It is so easy that you only need to sew one straight line and you get a fabulous tube dress! I added yellow velvet ribbons shoulder straps to make this dress more elaborate and fun. The yellow ribbons added a pop of color and tied the whole dress together.

Joanne’s Fabrics have this pre-ruched fabrics in many Disney princess prints and other tropical prints. It is a perfect DIY for summer vacations, birthday gifts and every day dress for your little girls.

They probably won’t remember what did they hunt for that Easter but they definitely remember that Easter dress mommy made.

BTW, how gorgeous these camellias are! It is at my friend’s house and they have the most beautiful flowers wrapped their whole house!
